Order of the Silver Dragon

A knightly order. The fallen knights of this order are undead revenants and are enemies of Strahd von Zarovich. Their master was killed by Strahd during the failed wizard-led peasant revolt roughly a year ago.

Known Information

• Knights of the order are undead revenants, bound by oaths of vengeance
• They are enemies of Strahd; Strahd's enemies are their friends
• Their base is at Argensfold, near the Luna River — west of center on the party's Barovia map
• Sir Laszlo Dornick is one surviving knight; he was encountered at the Ivlis Crossroads (Session 5) and confirmed the location
• Dornick described himself as an oathbreaker; he will not accompany the party without orders from his master
• The master whose wings burned is referenced as Argan Vostol — likely the foreign wizard Yelena described as leading the failed revolt

Session 19 — Argenvostholt

The party arrived at Argenvostholt in Session 19. The mansion is partially collapsed but largely intact. Three armored revenants were found kneeling before the altar in the chapel. A fire dragon spirit manifested in the northwest den hearth and said: "My knights have fallen into darkness. Save them if you can. Show them the light they have lost."

The revenants stood and turned toward the party when Celeste's footsteps on shattered glass alerted them. Their eyes were burning. Combat is pending.

The fire dragon spirit appears to be the soul of the order's master, or a guardian left for those who came with good intentions — Brother Moro was able to address it in Draconic and let it deliver its message without a fight.
