Status: Undead — Revenant; encountered at the Ivlis Crossroads

Known Information

Knight of the Order of the Silver Dragon. Self-described oathbreaker and revenant. His master, a figure he calls Argan Vostol (possibly the same wizard as the one Yelena described), was killed by Strahd — apparently thrown from a precipice above the River Ivlis falls during a failed peasant revolt. Dornick has been hunting the killers ever since. Time has left him few targets beyond memories and occasional zombies.

His armor is battered silver plate that glows with ghost light through the seams. His helm is split. His cloak is rags. His sword still works fine. He dispatched a group of zombies at the crossroads in the time it took the party to arrive and get their bearings.

He speaks in a rough, hollow voice. His eyes are pale silver coals. He demanded the party name themselves before the mists could do it for them, which is a reasonable enough first-meeting protocol for a revenant who has been wrong about people before.

When Brother Moro mentioned the Order of the Silver Dragon, Dornick visibly shifted — "my death is not entirely wasted." He told the party to seek out the Order at Argensfold, near the Luna River. He said he would not accompany them without orders but called Strahd's enemies his friends.
