Known Information

Hunter and weaponsmith. His forge-cart is called Thoma's Tempering: an iron-bound wagon reinforced with blackened steel ribs and Vistani wards, with a collapsible awning over a working forge. Racks of werewolf claws, vampire teeth, and silver bolts. He smells of hot metal and alchemical oil and is not interested in being robbed.

He fashions his own weapons, specializes in hunting gear for Barovia's specific hazards, and has an obvious personal relationship with his best work. His personal crossbow is named Whisper. He made Sable a near-perfect replica, named Gossip, as part of a trade.

He also holds Mercy's Bite in escrow — a magical silvered longsword with radiant damage and a stun property — and will complete it when Merich returns with a hag's heart and a pouch of bone-dust flour from the Old Bonegrinder windmill. He gave Merich a plain silvered longsword as a loaner in the meantime.

His opening words to the party: "Careful where you stand. Last fool who touched my anvil without asking still smells like pork."
