Madam Eva
aliveMadam Eva
Status: Alive — at the Tser Pool Vistani Camp
Known Information
The wisest of the Vistani. Hunched crone. Crystal ball. Magic flames. She said the mists had been whispering about the party's feet for some time, which is either prescience or a very effective opening line.
Her daughter is Yelena. She received the party in her lakeside tent and performed a five-card Taroka reading, each card pointing to a different piece of Barovia's puzzle: an ancient item at a ruined place in Castle Ravenloft, a holy symbol buried among the dead at a crossroads, a sword and a fallen paladin in a dead dragon's lair, a vault behind a woman of great beauty, and a final card pointing toward Strahd. The draw is random; no two campaigns get the same spread.
The Taroka Reading (Session 5)
- Ancient knowledge — castle ruins, place of supplication; helps understand the enemy
- Holy symbol of greater hope — buried dead; crossroads of life and death
- Sword of sunlight — a fallen paladin of a fallen order; lingers in a dead dragon's lair
- Hidden vault — behind a woman of great beauty; atop a tower of treasure
- The enemy — a creature of darkness beyond mortality; this card leads to him
