Castle Ravenloft

Home of Strahd von Zarovich. Located somewhere west of the village of Barovia, likely approximately three days by cart via the Vistani. No one goes there unless they want to die — that is the local consensus.

A revolt of villagers led by a foreign wizard stormed it about a year ago. Strahd killed everyone. Doru came back as vampire spawn. Nobody else did.

The midnight ghostly procession from the church graveyard marches toward it every night.

What Is Known

• Strahd lives there
• It is reachable by cart in approximately three days
• No one survives storming it
• Charmed young women from the village go there and do not come back
• Gertruda is presumably there now
