Known Information

An orphaned altar boy living at St. Andrew's Church under the care of Father Lucian Petrovich. Recently orphaned; came to the church frightened and couldn't sleep. Father Lucian told him about the bones of St. Andrew as a way of comforting him — a private pastoral confidence, made over a month ago.

Milovaj, the other altar boy, had been bullying Yeska — telling him he was useless, that no one wanted him. To make it stop, Yeska told Milovaj about the bones. To have something Milovaj didn't. To seem important. He understood immediately that this had not worked, and has been carrying the guilt since.

When Merich asked him about it, Yeska cried silently and confessed. He was not the thief. He was the vector.

Merich summoned Sophie (his direwolf) to help with the crying. It helped. Yeska was briefly a child being sat on by a large dog, which is a better state than crying in front of strangers.

He's small, pale, and clearly malnourished-looking despite being cared for at the church. He swims in his vestments. He does not make eye contact with adults.
