Davian Martikov

Status: Unknown — winery fully cleared, campsite of workers destroyed; whereabouts unknown

Known Information

Owner of the Wizard of Wines Winery northwest of Vallaki. Father of Irwin. The relationship between Davian and his son is complicated and largely non-communicative — Danica and Irwin receive little news from the winery and do not have regular contact.

The wine shipments from the winery have stopped. Danica suspects infestations may have spread from nearby fields, or that something may have happened to Davian. She does not know. She marked the winery on the party's map in Session 9 and accepted their offer to investigate.

He is a weraraven and, presumably, a member of the Keepers of the Feather.

Session 19

The party investigated the workers' campsite in the woods near the winery. Everything had been destroyed — tents and makeshift camp torn apart, a lot of blood, extensive digging. Merich found a hunting knife with dried black blood and a map of the road between the winery and Castle Ravenloft in the tunnels. A young person's journal was found in a tent — mostly blood-soaked and illegible, but the final entry mentions seeing something moving between the trees. 14 gold was also recovered. No bodies were found; the fate of Davian's workers is unknown.

This campsite was apparently where the workers had retreated after Actual Cannibal Shia LaBeouf made the winery unsafe. It has now also been destroyed.
