Letter from Strahd

A letter found in the chest in the hidden study of Death House. Addressed to someone in the Durst household (presumably Gustav Durst). Signed by Strahd von Zarovich.

Contents: Strahd explicitly disavows being the recipient's chosen messiah or dark patron. He acknowledges their hidden altar and torture dungeon with contemptuous indifference. He references a stillborn son "cursed by darkness." He informs them they are "but worms writhing in my earth" and that he prefers them as they are. He signs himself "Your dreadlord and master."

A raven cawed and took flight when his name was read aloud.
