Known Information

A woman found alone in her barricaded townhouse on the south side of the village square, crying and holding a malformed doll. Her daughter, Gertruda, left a week before Session 4 — charmed or compelled toward Castle Ravenloft despite her mother's efforts to keep her inside. Mary believes Strahd called to her.

She barricaded the door and boarded the windows to prevent Gertruda from leaving. It didn't work. The barricade and boards remained in place afterward because there was nothing left to protect.

Gave the party Gertruda's doll — the only thing she had left of her — and asked them to find her daughter. Accepted a Goodberry from Sable. Showed a brief flicker of hope at his promise to return with Gertruda before caving back into grief.

Known to locals as "Mad Mary," though nothing in her account suggested anything other than a mother who lost her child to a vampire.
