Kolyan Indirovich

Title: Burgomaster of Barovia (former) Status: Dead — died three days before Session 4; buried at dawn, Session 4

Known Information

Sent a letter begging travelers to leave Barovia for dead, encircle the land with holy symbols, and save the outside world from Strahd's influence. Offered wealth as reward after the Barovians have all perished. Signed the letter with his full name and a wax seal.

His adopted daughter Ireena Kolyana had been bitten twice by Strahd von Zarovich. He describes Strahd as too powerful to conquer. He died after a prolonged series of attacks on the Burgomaster's mansion. His son Ismark and daughter Ireena believe that the attacks stopped after he died — they do not know why.

Buried in the church cemetery by the party, Ismark, Ireena, and Father Donavich at dawn. Donavich's burial prayer was addressed to the Morning Star.
